Gwyneth Paltrow has NOT been offer $1 million to join “The View,” despite a completely fabricated webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this story. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.

According to RadarOnline, ABC has offered Paltrow seven figures to join the daytime talk show as a new co-host. A so-called “source” tells the site that producers are worried the show will get “axed” if the actress doesn’t accept the deal. The webloid’s supposed “insider” adds that the show is in “real trouble” and the other co-hosts are “all second and third choices.”

None of this, however, is true. Gossip Cop is exclusively told by a rep for “The View” that producers have not put out an offer to Paltrow to join the panel next season. The show’s spokesperson says there’s “not truth” to the RadarOnline claim.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has corrected the webloid for manufacturing fake rumors about the talk show. In December 2014, we exclusively debunked the site’s report that Barbara Walters was returning to the show. Obviously, a year later that’s still not the case. And just recently, Gossip Cop busted the blog for wrongly alleging that ABC executives wanted to fire Whoopi Goldberg because they blamed her for the show’s lower ratings.
