Finding Dory Trailer

(Disney)

Finding Dory, the long-awaited sequel to 2003’s Finding Nemo, has just released its first trailer. Watch the teaser for Pixar’s highly anticipated new movie below!

Although the animated film is being released nearly 15 years after the original, the story picks up only six months after the events of the first movie. Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) suffers from short-term memory loss, but in the sequel she begins to remember her past and decides to go on a quest to find her long-lost family.

The funny teaser sees Dory talking in her sleep, and Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) wake up to find her “sleep swimming.” The preview is set to the classic Bobby Darin song “Beyond the Sea,” which played a big part in the first movie. The sequel has added a whole bunch of new voice actors, including Idris Elba, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Dominic West, Ty Burrell and Ed O’Neill.

If you want to see the colorful and impeccably animated trailer on the big screen, it will most likely be attached to Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, which hits theaters on November 25. In the meantime, watch it below! Finding Dory is set to be released on June 17, 2016. Tell Gossip Cop what you think of the first trailer.
