Celeste Betton more than redeemed herself on Tuesday’s Live Playoffs on “The Voice.” Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Betton was shockingly eliminated earlier in the season after she and Mark Hood competed in what was called the “best” Battle in the history of the series. But for the first time in nine seasons, the coaches were each allowed to bring back one former contestant for the Live Playoffs. And for Pharrell, there was no question in his mind that that would be Betton.
For her comeback, she gave an outstanding performance of Carrie Underwood’s “Something In The Water.” Gwen Stefani confessed afterward, “I’m like literally crying right now.” She went on to tell Betton, “I saw you praying before. You picked the perfect song because it’s so you. I believe you so much.”
Pharrell said of his returning artist’s performance, “That was all we could ever ask for. You say people get to this point and they sing like they don’t want to go home. I think you sang like people don’t want you to go home right now.”
The coach added, “You tapped into the strongest part of the universe and brought it in this room. Everyone is voting for you right now. I have faith.” Gossip Cop will have the video shortly. Check back soon!
