Vicki Gunvalson’s ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers told E! News on Monday, Nov. 2, that Gunvalson does in fact believe he has cancer despite what she said during part three of The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion special on Sunday night.

In case you missed the culmination of Season 10, Gunvalson, 53, admitted that her “gut says he doesn’t have” cancer. However, Ayers now claims that after texting with Gunvalson Monday morning, she’s backtracking. (Ayers’ cancer drama started after RHOC cast member Meghan King Edmonds questioned Ayers’ health diagnosis, informing the other women that Ayers was, in her opinion, faking it.)

"She said no, she didn't feel like she's been duped and secondly, she does now believe that I have cancer," Ayers said.
When asked why Gunvalson’s changed her opinion so much, Ayers said: “You have to ask her. I don't know why. I don't know why somebody would change their mind as many times as she does."
Gunvalson told RHOC reunion host Andy Cohen that she started to question Ayers’ health claims about three months ago after he refused to show her medical records as proof. As exclusively confirmed by Us this past August, the couple of four years called it quits on their relationship.

"After much prayer, thought, counseling, and consideration, we have decided to end our four year relationship,” they told Us in a statement at the time. "We both wish nothing but a great future for each other. We have come to realize that one can indeed love someone in their heart, but that the time may come for their lives to take separate paths.”
