Ready to see Blake Shelton get slimed?
The "Voice" coached announced on Monday's "Today" show that he'll host Nickelodeon's 2016 Kids' Choice Awards.
During his interview with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, the country star joked that he'll show the kids at the show that, "This is the best you can hope for."
While lining up the new hosting gig, the singer told his agent, "I wanna do this thing with kids. It's fun. I wanna get slimed."
"I've been on countless stages throughout my life, but none have promised the madness, excitement and endless slime as Nick's Kids' Choice Awards, which is undoubtedly the ultimate party for kids. There is only one team here, and it's Team Kids' Choice so bring it on Nickelodeon!" he said in a statement on Monday.
The 2016 Kids' Choice Awards will air on Nickelodeon on March 12.
