Allegiant, the third movie in the Divergent series, has just released its new trailer. Shailene Woodley returns in the sci-fi sequel. Watch the preview below!
The franchise is an adaptation of the best-selling young adult novels by Veronica Roth.
Allegiant picks up shortly after the events of the second movie, Insurgent, and sees Tris (Woodley) and Four (Theo James) escape into the world beyond the Wall that surrounds Chicago. On the other side, they are taken into protective custody by a mysterious agency known as the Bureau of Genetic Welfare, and discover shocking secrets about the world outside their enclosure.
Based on the new trailer, Allegiant looks like the most action-packed installment in the franchise yet. The footage features spaceship chases, laser gun shootouts, hand-to-hand combat and more!
Returning for the highly-anticipated sequel are Miles Teller, Zoe Kravitz, Ansel Elgort and Maggie Q. Notable new additions to the cast include Naomi Watts and Jeff Daniels.
