Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas danced a perfect contemporary routine to Ed Sheeran’s “Make It Rain” on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.” Watch the video below.
Not only was the audience on their feet after the dance performance, but all the judges gave PenaVega and Ballas a standing ovation. It was a big turnaround for PenaVega, who the week before had among one of the lowest scores with her Argentine tango to Coldplay’s “Vida La Vida.” PenaVega talked before the routine about how she become bulimic because she was told during an audition that she was too heavy when, in reality, she really wasn’t. But she noted, though, she overcame bulimia.
Bruno Tonioli exclaimed, “You danced like a woman possessed, all determined.” He added the “choreography was brilliant,” and that her dancing was “scarily brilliant.” Carrie Ann Inaba said, What a great job,” and felt it was “healing” for her. And Julianne Hough expressed that she thought it was “awesome”
