BattleBots is ready for round two.

The unscripted series has been renewed for a second season, ABC announced Thursday.

Open casting for bots and builders — and possibly even drones this coming season — begins immediately.

The show, which sees robots battling it out for supremacy, aired for six episodes on the network this past summer along with Celebrity Family Feud after originally running for five seasons on Comedy Central beginning in 2000.

The revival drew strong ratings for ABC, ranking No. 1 in its time period among total viewers (5.4 million) and in the adults 18-49 demo (1.7 adults).

Original creators Ed Roski and Greg Munson exec produce the revival with Lloyd Braun, Chris Cowan and Aaron Catling. The series is produced by Whalerock Industries with MGM Television handling international distribution.

BattleBots joins ABC's large slate of unscripted series, which includes The Bachelor franchise, Dancing With the Stars, Celebrity Wife Swap, Extreme Weight Loss, Shark Tank and its spinoff, America's Funniest Home Videos, Save My Life: Boston Trauma and the recently renewed 500 Questions.
