The bad news just keeps coming for Eli (Alan Cumming) on The Good Wife.
After getting fired by longtime boss Peter (Chris Noth) in the season seven premiere, now it's wife Alicia (Julianna Margulies) cutting ties with the political strategist.
In The Hollywood Reporter's exclusive video from Sunday's new episode, Alicia pulls Eli aside to explain why she thinks its better for them to go their separate ways after his brief time as her chief of staff.
"We need to part ways," Alicia tells a shocked and hurt Eli. "We both need a fresh start. I know it won't be easy, but it's time."
