Celebrity makeup artist Jake Bailey passed away of an apparent suicide on Friday, and now stars are mourning his shocking death at 37. As Gossip Cop reported, Bailey, known for his work with Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, and Mariah Carey, among many others, was found unresponsive by his assistant inside his home. When the police arrived, it was determined Bailey died by what appeared to be carbon monoxide poisoning. See how celebrities are reacting below to the news of Bailey’s death.
Emmy Rossum shared her disbelief on Twitter writing, “I am gutted to hear of my friend Jake’s passing. I saw him on Sunday, we flew together on a plane. He made me laugh as always. @ByJakeBailey.” And Octavia Spencer wished the terrible news was nothing more than a joke saying, “is this RIP Jake Bailey real. Oh no! please tell me it’s a twitter hoax.”
Ashley Benson, who also recently spent time with Bailey, wrote alongside an Instagram photo of the two of them, “Honestly can’t believe this. Was just with you last week.
