The Force has awakened, and it is beautiful! Disney debuted the brand-new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens on ESPN during Monday Night Football on Oct. 19, and it's everything.
The trailer features British newcomers John Boyega and Daisy Ridley in the starring roles of Finn and Rey, respectively. They join legendary mainstays Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), and Chewbacca. Though not featured in the trailer, Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, is also slated to return. Meanwhile, the evil Kylo Ren, the masked nemesis of the Jedi, is portrayed by Girls actor Adam Driver.

In the trailer, Finn and Rey ask Han Solo for some answers to what they believe are age-old myths. "It's true," Ford replies. "All of it -- The Dark Side, the Jedi. They're real."
This is the first Star Wars movie to drop since 2005's Revenge of the Sith.
Before the trailer debuted during the Eagles vs. Giants game, director J.J. Abrams blasted a sweet handwritten note to fans via Twitter. "I don't care if you're black, white, brown, Jawa, Wookiee, Jedi or Sith," he wrote. "I just hope you like it!” The fans sure did! The presale records broke Fandango's website immediately after the trailer's release.
