Morgan Frazier and Darius Scott’s knockout performances added some exciting drama to “The Voice” on Tuesday. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, Frazier was originally on Blake Shelton’s team after picking him as her coach during the blind auditions. But after she lost her battle competition last week, Pharrell went in for the steal. Now for the knockouts, Frazier’s new coach picked her to face off against Darius Scott, one of the standouts on his team.
During a mentoring session with special guest advisor Rihanna, Frazier was told to work the stage more with her take on “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.” She became particularly emotional, and even shed a few tears, when Rihanna gave her a motivational speech of sorts. Meanwhile, the superstar instructed Scott to make sure his runs weren’t flat with “On Broadway.”
On stage, however, they both more than delivered, and each received a standing ovation after their respective performances. Gwen Stefani even said she was in a “daze” afterward. And referring to Shelton, Levine warned Pharrell, “Because cowboy has one steal left, you better be careful about the decision you’re about to make right now.”
Shelton even admitted he thought Fraizer was victorious. Ultimately, though, Pharrell chose Scott as the winner… and that left Frazier available to be stolen once again. And you better believe Shelton went for it! The coach noted that the last time he stole back a contestant, he and Craig Wayne Boyd went on to win the whole competition. Good omen?
