One Direction did not cancel last week’s scheduled concert in Belfast because Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson got into an “explosive fight” a few hours before the show, despite a fabricated tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this rumor. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.

As Gossip Cop reported, the band unfortunately had to pull the plug on their Belfast show at the last minute after Payne became ill with stomach problems. But a so-called source tells In Touch the supposed “real reason” the group canceled the show was that “Liam and Louis got into a huge fight… Liam was so upset and said he was in no shape to perform.”

The phony reasons that the tabloid’s “insider” cites for the alleged feud is that Payne is “bossy” and they’re also both “jealous” of one another. The magazine’s “source” adds, “Liam and Louis are the most desperate to say in the limelight after the band dissolves. The wheels are coming off. They’re all clamoring to be the stand-out star.”

What makes this untrue account all the more ridiculous is that, as Gossip Cop noted just last week, Tomlinson revealed that he and Payne plan to write songs together during One Direction’s year-long hiatus. Tomlinson even mentioned how he particularly enjoys collaborating with Payne.

Regardless of the aforementioned evidence that the tabloid’s story is completely made up, Gossip Cop still checked in with a rep for One Direction to get to the bottom of the feud rumors. We’re exclusively assured that there’s simply “no truth” to any of it.
