Leah Remini will open up about the Church of Scientology and her decision to leave it on next week’s “20/20.” The first promo features the star discussing the most famous Scientologist, Tom Cruise. Watch below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Remini and her family left the controversial Church in 2013. She has spoken out against the organization from time to time, leading her to be repeatedly slammed by Scientology leaders. Remini, however, has not backed down, and has a tell-all book about her experiences coming out on November 3 called Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology.

She sits down with ABC’s Dan Harris to speak about the book, and in the first teaser, she says, “The decision to leave means you’re giving up everything you have worked for your whole life. I feel like people need to understand this has been my whole life, and I want them to understand how it happens.” Remini had been a member of the Church for 30 years.

The actress goes on to say that as one gets deeper into Scientology, “you start to lose touch with the real world.” She explains, “The mindset becomes ‘us against them.’ Being critical of Tom Cruise is being critical of Scientology itself. You are evil.”

The preview cuts off with Harris asking Remini what she would say to Cruise. Check out the video below, and tell us what you think.
