Khloe Kardashian is slamming haters who are criticizing her People cover story about Lamar Odom.
As Gossip Cop reported earlier, Kardashian initially sat down with the magazine to promote her upcoming book prior to Odom’s hospitalization. Following his health crisis, however, she recently spoke with the outlet again, opening up about the medical emergency. Since the excerpts were released Wednesday morning, she’s been inundated with hateful tweets accusing her of trying to profit off Odom’s situation.
Kardashian took to Twitter to fire back. “I want to make this VERY clear…. My people cover, I shot and interviewed for PRIOR to all the events that happened,” she wrote. “It was contracted press for my book that I wrote months and months ago. Timing is what it is.”
The reality star went on to exclaim, “Shame on you all for thinking the worst of me. It’s been a tough few weeks. I don’t need your [expletive]ed up energy! Know the facts before you throw stones.”
“I had to do a follow up 5 minute phoner after the events only because I was contracted to,” she added, noting, “I cancelled my book tour to avoid this attention.” Kardashian concluded, “To the ones who uplift and send love…. I love you more! I appreciate the support. Have a great day babies! Kisses and hugs.”
As Gossip Cop previously reported, that aforementioned follow-up included Kardashian vowing to help Odom through his recovery, but stressing that they are not back together as a “couple,” despite calling off their divorce.
