Khloe Kardashian has called off her divorce from Lamar Odom.
As Gossip Cop reported, Kardashian and Odom finally signed their divorce papers in July, a year and a half after she first filed a petition. But due to a backlog and a customary waiting period, a judge had not yet signed off on the final paperwork. That made the split unofficial in the eyes of the law, and now it’s unofficial in their own eyes, too.
On Wednesday, Kardashian’s attorney went to court to request the judge to dismiss the case, presenting a signed request from both the reality and the former NBA player. He agreed, and the divorce papers were officially withdrawn. Kardashian and Odom will remain married for the foreseeable future.
As Gossip Cop previously noted, because Kardashian and Odom were still legally wed at the time of his medical emergency last week, she has been making all the treatment decisions as his next of kin. The health crisis continues to unfold, with Odom recently transferred from Las Vegas to a Los Angeles hospital. And, as long as Odom remains in capable of making his own decisions, Kardashian will hold on to the power.
It’s not clear what this means for Kardashian’s relationship with James Harden. As Gossip Cop reported, they began dating earlier this year, and were still in a relationship when Kardashian rushed to Odom’s bedside a week ago. There have been conflicting reports as to Kardashian and Harden’s current status, with some claiming as recently as yesterday that they were still dating, while others alleged they were on a break in the wake of Odom’s hospitalization.
