Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are NOT “renewing their vows,” despite an entirely off-base story from one of the tabloids. Gossip Cop can correct the claim.

According to this week’s issue of Life & Style, in the wake of Odom’s hospitalization and the withdrawal of their divorce papers, he and Kardashian “have decided to make their reunion official by renewing their vows.” A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “Khloe is telling everyone they are back on. The only issue is when and where to do it, and whether to film it.”

“Khloe would like to hold an intimate ceremony at her home once Lamar is feeling better. But momager Kris Jenner is already seeing dollar signs,” claims the magazine. Its alleged source explains, “Kris is pushing hard for them to have a huge, televised second wedding… No one would be surprised if the vow renewal wounds up on TV.”

The story goes on to allege Kardashian “plans to move the former basketball star back into her home and take care of him 24/7, even putting her own career on hold if that’s what he needs.” Adds the supposed Life & Style source, “She believes God put Lamar back in her life. She’s calling his recovery a miracle and wants to prove her love with the vow renewal.”

Oh, boy. Where to begin? First off, Odom is nowhere near getting released from the hospital, much less moving into Kardashian’s home. Secondly, the reality star isn’t really “putting her career on hold.” Though she did cancel her upcoming book tour, she has returned to updating her website and app, and is fulfilling her business obligations.

Most importantly, while the Kardashian-Jenners no doubt love filming milestone events for television, there is absolutely no discussion about having a “televised second wedding.” And here’s the major reason why: Kardashian and Odom are NOT even back together. Yes, their divorce has been put on hold, but there was NO romantic “reunion,” and there will NOT be any kind of “vow renewal.” The report, which couldn’t be more wrong, even hit newsstands on the same day Kardashian’s People cover story was released, in which she specifically states she’s NOT “back” with Odom. She even confirms she’s still dating James Harden.

It’s not clear if Life & Style got some bad information, or if the tabloid decided to make up an article to capitalize on recent events. But the outlet actually has a history of erroneous stories about Kardashian and Odom, including a false cover story in April that falsely claimed they were not only together again, but “having a baby.” The circumstances now just make the lies sadder.
