Caitlyn Jenner’s docu-series “I Am Cait” has been renewed for a second season, E! announced on Thursday. Season 2 is expected to premiere sometime in 2016.

The network released a statement saying, “Caitlyn’s story has ignited a global conversation on the transgender community on a scale that has never been seen before. We are honored Caitlyn has chosen to continue to share her ongoing story with our viewers around the world.” Jenner herself weighed in shortly after the exciting news broke, tweeting, “I’m looking forward to continuing the conversation.”

As Gossip Cop reported, the first season of “I Am Cait” premiered on July 26 and consisted of eight one-hour episodes, which chronicled how Jenner’s transition to becoming a woman affected the relationships in her life. Nearly four million people tuned in to watch the show’s premiere episode. The first details about the series were unveiled back in April during Jenner’s highly publicized “20/20″ interview with Diane Sawyer.

News of a second season renewal comes off the heels of Gossip Cop exclusively reporting that, along with Reese Witherspoon, Jenner is Glamour magazine’s “Woman Of The Year.” Tell Gossip Cop what you think about “I Am Cait” being renewed for a second season.
