Hillary Clinton turns 68 on Monday, and her celebrity supporters are taking to Twitter to celebrate.
Clinton’s birthday celebrations actually began on Sunday night with a star-studded soiree in New York City. “Real Housewives” star Luann de Lesseps shared a picture she took at the party, where John Legend, Demi Lovato, Amy Schumer and Tony Bennett took the stage. “Honor to celebrate @HillaryClinton Birthday with @billclinton @itstonybennett @ddlovato @johnlegend @chrissyteigen,” de Lesseps captioned the snapshot on Monday (see right).
Bill Clinton, of course, also used Twitter to give his wife a celebratory shout-out. “They say it’s your birthday…Happy Birthday to you, dear @HillaryClinton,” he wrote, adding the hashtag, “#HBDHRC.” That was also used by Magic Johnson, who wrote, “Happy Birthday to @HillaryClinton, who has my vote to be the next President of the United States! #HBDHRC.”
Lena Dunham, who recently interviewed the presidential candidate, posted, “Happy Birthday Hillary Clinton! I know you may not be ready to say it back, but I love you.” Andy Lassner, best known for his comedic hijinks as Ellen DeGeneres’ producer, amusingly tweeted, “Not a chance in hell she won’t respond to this. Happy birthday @HillaryClinton.”
Michael Moore, too, went with humor, writing, “Happy Birthday Hillary Clinton. Here’s hoping you’re having a great day and that your wish to tour with Katy Perry comes true.” Clinton also had an early celebration with Katy Perry at the Iowa rally and dinner on Saturday. Using the potential president’s Instagram, the singer showed off the “POTUS” necklace she gave as a gift.
Perry’s own birthday was Sunday. Clinton actually shares her birthdate with Keith Urban, Emilia Clarke, Pat Sajak, Seth MacFarlane, Jaclyn Smith, Dylan McDermott, CM Punk, Phaedra Parks, Rita Wilson, and several other famous names.
