Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson are now apologizing to fans for having to cancel their Tuesday concert in Belfast at the last minute because Liam Payne got sick.

Styles tweeted to his followers, “Deepest apologies to everyone at the show tonight in Belfast. Very disappointed, but unfortunately these things happen. We’re very sorry.” Meanwhile, Horan similarly wrote, “So sorry we have had to cancel tonight guys. Unfortunately these things happen… Thank you to all who came down tonight!” And Tomlinson added, “We’re so so sorry for what happened tonight, it was out of our control! Lots of love to Liam and thank you for being so understanding!”

As Gossip Cop reported earlier, a rep for One Direction confirmed to us that the concert at the SSE Arena had been canceled because Payne had become “suddenly ill.” The spokesman added, “Fans have been asked to hold on to their tickets,” presumably for a rescheduled show.

Shortly after the announcement that the concert had been scrapped, “#GetWellSoonLiam” began to trend on Twitter. There were rumors that Payne was hospitalized with broken bones, but Gossip Cop found out there was no truth to those claims.

Gossip Cop will update as soon as we learn more about Payne’s condition.
