Katy Perry turns 31 on Sunday, and to celebrate her birthday, Gossip Cop is looking back at five really wrong rumors about the singer that we exclusively “blew out” since 2014.

Gossip Cop was the first outlet to bust OK! when it published a completely untrue cover story in February that alleged Perry was “pregnant” with John Mayer’s baby. A source close to Perry exclusively told Gossip Cop it was a lie, and the following month the tabloid was forced to publicly apologize to the singer.

Before that there was another erroneous pregnancy-related story from OK! that claimed Perry “might slip up and get pregnant” with Robert Pattinson’s baby because she was having “dangerous rebounds.” Once again, a source close to Perry exclusively assured Gossip Cop the tale was “insane.”

There were several other stories that wrongly linked Perry and Pattinson romantically, including a Star tale that falsely stated they were “all over each other” at party for the movie The Rover. The tabloid claimed the two pals were “kissing and making out” all night, but as Gossip Cop exclusively noted, it was all untrue.

Then there was the off-base story from the Daily Mail that alleged Perry and Florence and the Machine’s Robert Ackroyd were “kissing, flirting” and generally “flaunting their romance” after a party after one of her concerts at the 02 arena in London. Once again, a Perry pal told Gossip Cop exclusively that the story was inaccurate and there was absolutely “no kissing” between the two friends.

And finally, Gossip Cop busted OK! once again when it erroneously reported that Perry and Jared Leto were going to date. The inaccurate tabloid claimed “he’s had a major crush on her for years,” and it was felt by mutual friends that they were a “match made in heaven.” Gossip Cop was similarly correct to report there was “no truth” to that story either.

Gossip Cop sincerely wishes Katy Perry a happy and rumor-free birthday!
