An Alabama elementary school teacher named Heath Morrow is under fire for wearing blackface as a part of a Kanye West Halloween costume after his wife Shannon seemingly posted a photo of him on Facebook. The picture of the fifth grade teacher from Decatur in blackface has since gone viral on Reddit. See the alleged photo below.
Morrow appears to have posed for the photo with a sign reading “Kanye for Prez 2020,” while standing next to his wife, who’s dressed as Kim Kardashian. Shannon reportedly posted the photo to her Facebook page with the caption, “Haha some people thought Heath was really a black man.” The questionable picture now seems to have been deleted.
The photo, however, is now on Reddit, and has been viewed more than 2000 times. Morrow, who according to the Chestnut Grove Elementary School’s website teaches fifth grade, has not yet commented on the controversy.
This isn’t the first time someone has raised eyebrows by wearing blackface to look like West. As Gossip Cop reported in February 2014, Kardashian attended the Vienna Ball, where she was approached by a staffer in blackface pretending to be West. The individual asked Kardashian during an on-camera interview for a dance, and told her he wanted the orchestra to play “Ni**as in Vienna.”
