The tech-industry vet is helping out in the writers room on the third season of the comedy.
Dick Costolo has found his next gig: HBO's Silicon Valley.
The network confirms that the ex-Twitter CEO is consulting on the third season of the comedy, which pokes fun at the tech industry. Costolo, a former stand-up comedian, reportedly spends a few days a week in the writers room, offering his expertise on Bay Area matters, such as VC funds, start-ups and, well, ousted executives.

The addition to the show makes sense, as the comedy's sophomore year ended with leading man Richard (Thomas Middleditch) being kicked out of the CEO role at his own company. After the finale aired June, series creator Mike Judge told The Hollywood Reporter that the conflict will be the set up of the upcoming season.
"There’s this thing that just happened at Twitter actually with Dick Costolo stepping down," he said at the time, emphasizing the parallels between the show's made-up storylines and real life: "That sort of thing happens a lot."
The show follows a fictitious data compression start-up, Pied Piper, and the quirky gang of programmers behind it, played by Middleditch, Zach Woods, Martin Starr, Kumail Nanjiani and T.J. Miller.
The news was first reported by Bloomberg. Silicon Valley will return to HBO in 2016.
