Emily Ann Roberts and Morgan Frazier had an intense “Voice” battle that led to the final steal of the season on Tuesday. Watch below!
The Team Blake Shelton contestants were tasked with performing “I’m That Kind Of Girl” by Patty Loveless, with their coach explaining he thought the track was in their “wheelhouse.” Roberts was particularly star-struck during the mentoring session when she told guest advisor Brad Paisley that he was the first concert she ever went to. At the final rehearsal, Shelton declared they both “brought it,” and predicted it would be the “centerpiece of the battle rounds.”
In actuality, it was the very last battle showcased. But how did it go on stage? Pharrell offered compliments to both singers before telling Shelton, “I don’t know what you’re going to do.” Adam Levine even called Shelton a “ding dong” for putting Roberts and Frazier together.
“This is going to be an impossible decision that I’m really going to enjoy giving him no help with making,” quipped Levine. And Shelton actually seemed sick over the whole thing. He confessed, “I’m just heartbroken right now. There’s vomit inside of my throat right now.”
It was a hard decision to make, but Shelton ultimately chose Roberts. Frazier’s hopes of being saved rested on Pharrell, the only coach still with a steal slot open on his team. And he went for it! Check out the video below!
