Carson Daly impersonated Gwen Stefani for a spoof of “The Voice” on the “Today” show on Halloween. Check out the video below!
The morning show’s weekend crew all got into the spirit. Erica Hill imitated Blake Shelton, Sheinelle Jones became Pharrell, and Dylan Dreyer took on Adam Levine. And then there was Daly, sporting a blonde wig to match Stefani’s signature hair color, and wearing a top reminiscent of the one the real coach wore for the season 9 blind auditions.
But if Daly was playing Stefani, who was portraying Daly as “The Voice” host? That would be Willie Geist. But everyone did more then simply get into costume.
They actually acted out a blind audition, with Bob Saget appearing as a contestant. After singing The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face,” each coach tried to woo him to join his or her team. And you better believe it was Daly/Stefani who won.
Daly amusingly tweeted afterward, “Learned a lot about myself this am as our wkend @todayshow gang took on #thevoice for #halloween!” He also hilariously revealed, “Months of ‘high heel prep’ went into my wkend @todayshow #halloween costume.”
As Gossip Cop reported, Daly and Geist also participated in the Charlie Brown-themed “Today” Halloween celebration on Friday. Watch the new videos below, and tell us what you think!
