Andy Grammer hit it out of the park with a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem before the first game of the 2015 World Series on Tuesday. Gossip Cop has the video below.
Grammer sang the “Star-Spangled Banner” at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri shortly before the New York Mets took on the Kansas City Royals. Not surprisingly, the performer was quite excited for the gig. He tweeted hours earlier, “If I had told the 8 year old me I was going to sing at the World Series he would have died on the spot…”
Of course, Grammer is having quite the year regardless. His song “Honey, I’m Good” became a bonafide hit, and his most successful single to date. Back in May, as Gossip Cop reported, he performed it on the live “American Idol” season finale with winner Nick Fradiani.
During the summer, Grammer had the honor of joining Taylor Swift at the Chicago stop on her “1989 World Tour.” And now the singer is currently competing on “Dancing With The Stars.” Although he started off slow on the ABC dance competition show, he has since stepped up his game. In fact, as Gossip Cop previously noted, Grammer received a perfect score on October 19 for his flawless recreation of the dance to the song “Good Morning” from the film Singin’ In The Rain.
He also got a perfect score for a group dance he participated in on Monday just before flying out to Kansas City. Yes, it’s pretty good to be Andy Grammer right now. Check out full video from the World Series below!
