Adele released the video for her first song “Hello” off her new album 25 on Friday. Watch the video below.
The song is about someone trying to reaching out to an ex to make sure the jilted lover is okay long after their breakup. And in the black-and-white video, Adele is seen trying to contact an ex-boyfriend (played by Tristan Wilds), who’s seemingly too hurt to hear from her again.
The chorus of the song include the lyrics, “I must’ve called a thousand times to tell you I’m sorry for everything that I’ve done,” and “At least I can say that I’ve tried to tell you I’m sorry for breaking your heart. But it don’t matter, it clearly doesn’t tear you apart anymore.”
As Gossip Cop reported, Adele discussed her upcoming album 25 in a Facebook post on Wednesday and noted, “My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record.” She added that she’s now “making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did.”
Adele’s new album 25 comes out on November 20. Check out the video below for “Hello,” her first new song in three years, and tell Gossip Cop what you think.
