Adam Levine is seemingly shading Gavin Rossdale over his divorce from Gwen Stefani.

As Gossip Cop has reported, Rossdale and Stefani confirmed in August that they were divorcing following 13 years of marriage. Just a few days ago, it was reported they had reached an amicable divorce agreement. That came shortly after Stefani released her new single, “Used To Love You,” which is widely believed to be about their split.

The lyrics tell of love gone wrong and the music video, shot in a single take, showcases Stefani emotionally breathing life into the words. The No Doubt front woman has been praised for its rawness. But one site chose to examine someone who isn’t even on screen: Rossdale.

The O.C. Weekly posted a shot-by-shot breakdown of the video, interpreting how each moment is a dig against him. For instance, one caption written from Stefani’s perspective reads, “Oh, Gavin. Don’t worry about people thinking you’re a douchebag after watching this video. At least they’re thinking of you.” Another says, “How could I have married this [expletive] without a prenup?! Now he wants half my net worth? All because HE [expletive] around? Am I being Federlined?”

Of course, there’s been no confirmation whatsoever that Rossdale ever cheated. But there were other disses. “We did make some amazing kids together though,” reads another caption. “I gave birth to three children named Kingston, Zuma and Apollo even though I knew people would make fun of them… for having the last name Rossdale.”

So, what was Levine’s reaction to this Rossdale take-down? He tweeted on Tuesday afternoon with a link to the story, “GENIUS.” Ouch. The two guys were never known to have any beef, but there’s few other ways to read Levine’s remark. His tweet also came just hours after he was by Stefani’s side as she spoke a little about the divorce on “Today.” TELL US: What do you think of Levine seemingly dissing Rossdale?
