NBC tops the quiet Monday among broadcast networks with a expectedly deflated 'American Ninja Warrior.'

Memorial Day saw saw slips for the few series that braved airing originals on the relatively sleepy night.

With usage down at the end of the long holiday weekend, NBC's American Ninja Warrior topped the broadcast pack with a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49. That was off 24 percent from the three-year highs achieved the prior Monday. Lead-out Running Wild With Bear Grylls (1.0 adults) was also off, though steady with its last season finale.

ABC aired the second part of the Bachelor in Paradise season finale. The abbreviated one-hour episode was flat with last week and the comparable episode last summer, averaging a 1.4 rating in the key demo before talker After Paradise wrapped its run with a steady 1.1 rating with adults.

So You Think You Can Dance aired the first part of its finale with a steady 0.7 rating in the key demo, and CBS put on a Fall Preview special (1.0 adults).

On Memorial Day eve, Sunday's lone broadcast originals — ABC's Bachelor in Paradise and CBS' Big Brother — gave modest showings as many Americans chose to turn their TVs off for the long weekend. But Big Brother led with a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49, up from a slightly less-deflated Paradise's 1.0 in the key demo.
