The wait is almost over.
ABC has released a super-short but super-worth-the-wait trailer forScandal's upcoming fifth season — and what it lacks in length it makes up for in reveals.
Hot and steamy reunited sex with President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) and his on-again/off-again love Olivia (Kerry Washington)? Check. The president telling first lady Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) that he wants a divorce — oh yeah, that's in there, too.

Both are moments diehard Gladiators have been longing for — though from the looks of Fitz and Olivia, maybe not as much as they have.
"What's exciting is exploring the possibility of really seeing what happens next vs. doing the thing that everyone expects us to do, which is to bounce everybody back into the place that they were," showrunner Shonda Rhimes told reporters following the TGIT panel at TCA of if this season could really explore a presidential divorce. "I feel like the show is more go big or go home with what really would happen next."
