The untitled comedy from '30 Rock's' Matt Hubbard and Mike Schur has received a production commitment from the network.
NBC is teaming with the producers behind Parks and Recreation and 30 Rock for a new family comedy.
The network has handed out a hefty production commitment to an untitled single-camera comedy from Parks and Recreation showrunner Mike Schur and 30 Rock's Matt Hubbard, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The untitled comedy — which reteams Schur and Hubbard, who both worked on Parks — revolves around a happily married interracial couple, Andrew and Josie, whose lives take a turn when they move closer to Josie's family in Missouri.

Hubbard will pen the script and executive produce alongside Schur and 3 Arts' David Miner. The comedy hails from Schur's Fremulon banner and Universal Television — where both the Parks and Rec boss and Hubbard are based.
For Schur, the comedy marks his second big sale this development season. NBC in August announced a straight-to-series pickup for A Good Place, a female-driven comedy about a woman wrestling with what it means to be good.
The untitled interracial family comedy comes at a particularly busy time for Schur, who in addition to Fox's third-year comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also exec producing Aziz Ansari's Netflix comedy series.
For Hubbard, meanwhile, re-upped his deal with Universal Television last year. He most recently was behind Fox's ill-fated comedy Cabot College that had a series commitment penalty attached but did not move forward. During his run on 30 Rock, Hubbard won a writing Emmy in 2009 for his work on the "Reunion" episode of the Tina Fey comedy.
Schur is repped by UTA, 3 Arts and Hansen Jacobson; Hubbard is also with UTA and Hansen Jacobson.
