Lindsay Lohan did NOT beg an Uber driver to hang out with her, despite a tabloid rumor. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim, with a rep for the star telling us it’s entirely made up.

The report comes from Star, which has spent years making up stories about Lohan. In its new issue, the magazine says friends have been “hard to come by” for the actress, and claims that a “male Uber driver in his 50s” told them that “Lindsay was so chatty during their drive that she invited him out for a meal!” Of course, Star makes no mention of when or where this supposedly took place.

“She asked if we could hang out together in the near future,” the unnamed driver is quoted as saying. “A few weeks later she called and we ended up in Santa Monica for lunch.” Star clarifies that this wasn’t a “romantic” situation, but that Lohan “simply didn’t have anyone else to talk to.”

The supposed Uber driver further says to the outlet, “I just think she’s lonely and wants more genuine, caring people in her life her life. We hugged good-bye, and since then I haven’t heard from her, but she was great company!”

To recap: Star is claiming Lohan made an Uber driver hang out with her and then never spoke to him again, the tabloid but has no name, no specific date or location, and no photographic evidence. Of course, there’s evidence right on Instagram… of the friends the star regularly hangs out with. Regardless, Gossip Cop looked into the story, and we’re exclusively told by Lohan’s rep that the allegations are nothing more than B.S.
