Kris Jenner did not set up Jennifer Lawrence with her son Rob Kardashian, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim, which has been spread and picked up by a number of outlets. We’re told it’s 100 percent “not true.”
According to Heat, Lawrence and Kardashian were recently introduced and “hit it off.” The tabloid claims after Jenner helped the Hunger Games actress celebrate her 25th birthday in August, the reality star supposedly had the actress come back to her home to meet her son Rob. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Rob wasn’t happy with Kris… He’s not ready to date and wants to lose more weight before being pictured in public but it’s classic Kris.”
No, this type of sensationally wrong story is actually classic Heat. In any event, the tabloid says Kardashian and Lawrence met and instantly got along great. The magazine’s alleged “insider” claims, “It was set up but they hit it off. Rob’s funny and Jen’s hilarious.”
OK, here’s what really happened: Lawrence, who’s a “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” fan, was surprised last month on her birthday by friends who arranged to have Jenner bring out her cake, which looked like feces and had a sign that read, “Happy Birthday You Pile Of Sh*t.” Lawrence and Jenner then hung out together singing karaoke and posing for a funny photo on a bed.
It was the first time the two women had met, but Jenner did not then set up Lawrence with her son nor did the two “hit it off.” A source close to Lawrence laughed off the tabloid’s tale, and exclusively told Gossip Cop it’s “not true.”
