Justin Bieber says in a new interview that he hasn’t “been in a relationship for a while” and that he got his “heart broken,” but he still loves “being in love.” The singer also talks about Michael Jackson, Kanye West, and how he never washes his underwear. Watch the video below.
In an interview with the Australia’s “Kyle And Jackie O” radio show, Bieber admitted he “had a few beers” and maybe he was “talking too openly” before saying he’s not bringing anyone special Down Under when he performs on Sydney Harbour on September 30. “I’m doing a lot of stuff by myself,” said The Biebs, who further revealed, “I haven’t been in a relationship for a while now.”
When Kyle rhetorically asked why would a young, successful pop star would want to be dating anyone seriously, Bieber interjected, “I’m a relationship type of guy… I love being in love, love cuddling.” But, the singer added, “I got my heart broken. I’m just trying to let that heal up.”
That naturally opened the door for Jackie O to ask about Selena Gomez, but Bieber didn’t want to discuss her. The host then tried another angle and asked about seeing the name “Selena” graffitied on a wall in the “What Do You Mean?” video, but the singer said, “I think that might be fake.” He went on to say that it was “not me that did that.”
When asked about Kanye West announcing that he’s running for president in 2016, Bieber just said he felt it was “Kanye being Kanye,” and noted, “He says what he feels in the moment.”
Bieber was also questioned about whether he has an endless supply of Calvins for being the underwear brand’s new spokesmodel. He told the radio hosts that Calvin Klein sends him “enough pairs that I don’t have to wash them.”
Jackie O then mentioned how Bieber has granted 250 wishes for Make-A-Wish. “It’s one of my favorite things,” said Bieber, because “you get to hang out with kids.” He explained that he loves being around children because “they don’t want anything from me… They just want to have fun and enjoy the moment.” He then offered that he feels it’s one of the “misconceptions about Michael Jackson,” and that the legendary singer simply surrounded himself with children because, unlike adults, kids don’ have an agenda.
