Fans and stars are reacting to Thursday’s court ruling that overturned Tom Brady’s four-game suspension, stemming from “Deflategate.” See Twitter reactions below.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the New England Patriots quarterback was set to be sidelined without pay for the beginning of the 2015-2016 NFL season for his alleged role in tampering with footballs. But U.S. District Court Judge Richard Berman had the penalty revoked, and social media is abuzz with opinions about the decision.

“Late Night” host Seth Meyers tweeted, “Despite being a Steelers fan I am genuinely happy the suspension was overturned. Even happier our tax dollars paid for it!” He went on to joke, “And irrationally holding out hope that with properly inflated footballs Brady will be incapable of throwing more than 5 yards.” Actor and Massachusetts native Donnie Wahlberg wrote, “Happy for Tom Brady & @patriots fans everywhere!” In reference to the Patriots being stripped of their first two draft picks, he added, “Now how bout we do something about getting our stolen draft picks back? #GoPats #FreeBrady.”

Rapper Charlamagne Tha God was shocked, writing, “Tom Brady really Jesus.” Meanwhile, comedian Frank Caliendo joked, “It’s good to hear that Tom Brady FINALLY caught a break in his life,” in reference to the handsome multi-millionaire who’s married to a supermodel. Twitter user @RJBechtel had a similar thought, saying, “Tom Brady beating a multi billion dollar organization in a lawsuit. Continues to win at life.”

Along with a photo of Brady leaving the courthouse, Twitterer @SkinzDC2Cali wrote, “Tell me that Tom Brady smirk doesn’t look like a kid who just pulled a fast one on their parents.” Meanwhile, a person using the handle @2NDIINONE was happy that the court ruling would benefit his Fantasy Football Game, tweeting, “Since Brady was supposed to be suspended for 4 games, I was able to pickup Peyton Manning and Tom Brady…Well Played Tom, Well Played!”

A person named @luckyyates pointed out, “I’m sure all of the wrongly accused prisoners in this country are happy that a federal judge rushed in to save Tom Brady from suspension.” And finally, a woman with the Twitter name @Kimpulses took the opportunity to make a risque joke, writing, “Not sure what all the fuss over Tom Brady is for I’ve deflated balls and gotten off too, big deal.”
