Deaf Teen Filmmakers Cover Phillip Phillips’ Hit “Home” in Inspirational Video

How do you sign “wow”? Deaf teen filmmakers who participated in the Deaf Film Camp have created an inspirational video set to American Idol Season 11 champ Phillip Phillips’ 2012 megahit  “Home.”

In the video shared by DFC, the participants of the camp come together to sign the lyrics of the catchy tune. Combined with the visuals of introverted, deaf teens who later blossom as they are joined by others who rally around them, the video offers the hopeful message that anything is possible with support and love, especially when one feels at home.

According to the DFC, 64 campers from three different continents came together in upstate New York, and with the guidance of successful deaf filmmakers, produced this music video that can be enjoyed by those with or without the ability to hear.

This isn’t the first music video by the teen campers. Last year, the DFC covered Pharrell Williams’ hit “Happy,” which went viral with more than 1.4 million views on YouTube.
