Chris Brown is ranting about his latest bit of legal trouble.
As Gossip Cop noted earlier Thursday, the singer was reportedly named in an assault investigation stemming from an incident in Denver. It was said that a woman filed a police report earlier this week claiming third-degree assault after she was allegedly forcibly thrown off Brown’s tour bus. Brown’s ride was parked outside a Colorado strip club, where he had been shooting a music video with Fetty Wap and French Montana.
The unidentified woman alleged she was kicked off Brown’s bus and had her phone thrown to the ground after she refused warnings to surrender it if she wanted to stay on the vehicle. With the rise of cell phone technology and the advent of social media, celebrities nowadays often have a strict no-phone policy during private gatherings to ensure nothing is secretly recorded. It seems that may have been the intention of Brown’s camp here, and when she wouldn’t comply, the woman says she was physically removed.
TMZ called Brown a “person of interest” in the case, reporting that police wanted to talk to him and others who were present during the alleged incident. The site also claimed there is surveillance footage showing the woman upset outside the bus as her phone is tossed out. Brown himself has not officially been accused of any specific wrongdoing, but he is extremely angered over the situation.
The music star tweeted on Thursday night, “Funny how my name comes up in an investigation with no video evidence but the cops have a full video of n*ggas breaking in to my house. Let’s shine the light on real f*cking criminals. People looking for a come up. Hilarious!”
Brown, of course, is referring to the break-in at his Los Angeles home earlier this year, in which his aunt was held hostage. No arrests have been made in the case. This latest potential legal battle comes just a few days after Brown was granted joint custody of 1-year-old daughter Royalty, despite concerns from baby mama Nia Guzman that his lifestyle would be a negative influence on the little girl.
