Britney Spears has shown just what it takes to keep herself "Overprotected"— a sense of humor!
The pop princess appeared on Tuesday's "Best Time Ever " to help host Neil Patrick Harris and guest star Joe Jonas prank a few unsuspecting bodyguards in a new segment called "Voices In Your Head."
Britney sat down with three hopefuls interviewing for a job with her "Piece of Me" Las Vegas show, but the star was initially given very little say in the process. Neil and Joe watched the scene unfold on surveillance video and fed her one ridiculous instruction after another through a hidden earpiece.

"Hi, it's Britney, bitch," she cheerfully greeted one candidate, after asking another to kiss her hand -- all upon Neil's command. The "I'm A Slave 4 U" singer was apprehensive at first, but eased in to the routine more easily than either Neil or Joe expected.
"She's gone rogue!" the former "How I Met Your Mother" star said, as Britney kept switching the seating arrangement for one bewildered interviewee and roped another into participating in an onstage dance number.

NPH and Joe kept their own jokes coming, but soon found themselves marveling at Britney's impressive improv skills – and they weren't the only ones.
"You're full of surprises, you know that?" one bodyguard tells the superstar.
"Best Time Ever With Neil Patrick Harris" airs Tuesdays at 8PM ET/PT on NBC.
