With less than a month to go until the premiere of "American Horror Story: Hotel," FX has dropped the full cast trailer.
The new season, the show's fifth installment in the franchise, is set in the fictional Hotel Cortez in Downtown Los Angeles, and follows a cast of characters played by stars including Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Finn Wittrock, Denis O'Hare, Matt Bomer (who had a brief but memorable role last season), Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters, Wes Bentley, Chloe Sevigny and Lady Gaga.
Thursday's trailer revealed the show will be full of creepy elements. The 30-second trailer included: hordes of disturbing children, a blender filled with blood, a body sewn into a mattress, Angela Bassett's character leading a man around on a leash and Lady Gaga's character sporting an epic floor-length wig.
Matt plays Donovan on "AHS'" newest installment, a character who is involved romantically, with Gaga's character, hotelier The Countess/Elizabeth.
"His dreams didn't all pan out the way he thought they were going to and he's taken some different turns in life," Matt told Access Hollywood of his new role, when we sat down with him at the Television Critics Association Summer Tour.

"And also, he has a very, very complicated relationship with his mother, which I think bleeds into really all his relationships in his life, but particularly his relationships with females," Matt added of the character Iris, who is being played by Kathy.
The other man involved in the life of Gaga's character is male model Tristan Duffy.
"We kind of find him when he's a bit jaded about the modelling world," Finn told Access.
"Ryan [Murphy, 'AHS' executive producer] described him as a feral cat. He's like all instinct. He's just a total impulsive, violent, drug addicted, sexual like kind of creature. … I've been sort of learning about Sid Vicious. He's that sort of punk mentality of like I'm just going to live life to the fullest every second and not give a crap about tomorrow and I think something about that energy is what, frankly, turns on Lady Gaga's character, and so she sort of brings him into her dark world."

Angela too plays a character involved in Elizabeth's life – Ramona Royale.
"She's this fabulous, beautiful, intriguing, mysterious creature," Angela told Access. "She's an actress -- a Hollywood actress and I think she's done very well, but she's always looking to up her game, you know and expand her hustle as an actress in this town, but she won't compromise herself. She has good self-esteem because she brings a lot to the table -- until she meets Elizabeth. That's the character Stephanie's playing, who's another fabulous female, who sees her for who she is or at least initially, you know, she's just as intrigued. They're intrigued with one another."
"American Horror Story: Hotel" premieres October 7 at 10 PM ET/PT on FX.
