ABC is looking for another diverse family to add to its roster.

The network, home to comedies Black-ish and Fresh Off the Boat, has put in development an untitled half-hour about three generations of a chaotic multicultural family.

The comedy, which has landed a script commitment, will be written and exec produced by Kat Coiro (And While We Were Here) with Julie Anne Robinson also attached to exec produce. Should the comedy about a three-generation family who own and run a Haitian restaurant in South Beach move forward, Robinson would direct the pilot.

3 Arts is also attached to exec produce the single-camera comedy that hails from ABC Studios and Robinson's studio-based Canny Lads banner.

Robinson next has ABC's midseason Shondaland drama The Catch. Her credits include Selfie, The Middle, How to Live With Your Parents, Manhattan, Orange Is the New Black, Nurse Jackie, Scandal, Suburgatory andGrey's Anatomy. Robinson is represented by UTA, 3 Arts, Independent Talent Group and attorney Warren Dern.

Coiro, with WME, 3 Arts and Bloom Hergott, previously developed Splitting the Distance at ABC and Slouching Towards Adulthood for NBC.

ABC has found success with a diverse roster of family fare, including sophomore comedies Black-ish, starring Anthony Anderson; and 1990s-set Fresh Off the Boat. The network also has third-year half-hour The Goldbergs
