TV Ratings: Lifted ‘Big Brother’ Leads as Preseason Football Swarms

CBS is the only net not clouded by NFL preemptions.

Another Thursday, another broadcast lineup clouded by preseason NFL interruptions.

With ABC, NBC and Fox all seeing big markets drop regularly scheduled programs for football games, CBS is likely the only Big Four net with accurate early ratings. And, regardless of adjustments, it will top the night in the key demo of adults 18-49 — thanks to an original Big Brother.

The reality show improved two-tenths of a point from last week to a 2.1 rating in the key demo — easily making it the highest rated broadcast series of the night. Under the Dome (0.8 adults) was flat with last week's series low in live-plus-same day showings.
