Desmond Harrington will play a love interest to Jennifer Carpenter for the second time in his career.
There's a Dexter reunion coming to CBS' freshman drama Limitless.
Astronaut Wives Club's Desmond Harrington has nabbed a key role on the drama starring Jake McDorman and Jennifer Carpenter, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The drama, a follow-up to the Bradley Cooper film of the same name, follows Brian Sinclair (McDorman) as he discovers the power of the mysterious drug NZT, and is coerced into using his newfound drug-enhanced abilities to solve weekly cases for the FBI.

Harrington will guest star as Casey Rooks, a special agent with the FBI SWAT team who has a background in martial arts, combat sports and meditation, all of which inform his quiet but formidable presence. When he is assigned to give Brian basic training, he's impressed by Brian's ability to master skills that took Casey years to acquire. Driven by his jealousy, or perhaps another agenda, Casey will keep a close eye on Brian, hoping to uncover his secret. But Casey also has a secret of his own to protect: his covert love affair with Brian's boss, Agent Rebecca Harris (Carpenter).
Harrington will appear in the fifth episode with the potential to recur.
The casting marks a reunion for Dexter grads Carpenter and Harrington. Harrington previously starred as Joey Quinn, a Miami Metro cop and love interest to Carpenter's Debra Morgan on Showtime's serial killer drama Dexter.
Harrington most recently starred on ABC's summer drama The Astronaut Wives Club. He's repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.
Limitless premieres Sept. 22 at 10 p.m. on CBS.
