As Gossip Cop reported, Spike TV’s “Lip Sync Battle” is a spinoff of Jimmy Fallon’s “Lip Sync Challenge” from “The Tonight Show” and “Late Night.” On the Spike TV version, two celebrities go head to head to see who’s better at faux singing. The winner is chosen at the end of the show by the audience after each celebrity performs two different songs.

This week, Henson and her “Empire” co-star Howard battled it out on the stage, with both stars performing the song “Hard Out Here For A Pimp,” from their 2005 movie Hustle & Flow, for a special round. Howard and Henson’s joint performance was the first time “Lip Sync Battle” had two competing celebrities fake sing a song together.

However, before their duet, Henson and Howard battled each other for the first solo round. The actress bought out Mary J. Blige to help her sing Blige’s 2007 song “Just Fine.” Donning a short blonde wig and a black pantsuit, Henson danced around the stage as she mouthed the words to the song. Following her performance, Howard mouthed the words to Boy II Men’s romantic ballad “I’ll Make Love To You.”

In round number two, Howard stepped out wearing a long black wig, mesh shirt, black pants and silver shimmery jacket as he launched into the song “Brick House” by The Commodores. “This is the craziest night of my life,” said Howard after his performance. Henson, on the other hand, dressed up in a big blonde wig and leopard dress to perform Madonna’s “Material Girl.”

In the end the audience decided that Howard was the better faux singer, and he was crowned the winner and given the championship belt. Gossip Cop will update as soon as video is available.
