Taylor Swift did NOT diss Miley Cyrus or any other stars at a secret MTV Video Music Awards after-party on Sunday, despite a wholly inaccurate report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim, which was made by a webloid that has a spotty record when it comes to reporting about the “Shake It Off” singer. A source tells us the story is absolutely “not true.”
According to RadarOnline, Swift’s celebrity-bashing actually began at the Republic Records post-VMAs party, where she was supposedly trash-talking Ariana Grande and “made it clear to security not to let” the fellow singer near her. Swift’s alleged mean-girl actions were said to continue after leaving the shindig, as Radar claims the superstar then hosted an exclusive house party. And the site even says it knows what happened behind those closed doors.
Radar alleges Swift boozed it up at her Los Angeles with BFF Selena Gomez and more of her gal pals, and they used the private get-together to supposedly make fun of Cyrus’ VMAs hosting job. The webloid’s “eyewitness” (yes, they are actually claiming to have a “witness” at Swift’s alleged private party) says Gomez and Swift discussed how they “thought Cyrus’ VMAs antics — from smoking marijuana to flashing her nipple — were obnoxious and annoying.” The “eyewitness” even alleges to Radar that the girls were “in stitches, doubled over from laughing” over Cyrus’ just-released song.
But Gossip Cop has learned all the allegations are fabricated. First off, a source close to the situation exclusively tells us that Swift did not brush off Grande at the Republic Records gathering. “Ariana and Taylor did hang out at the party,” says our impeccable insider.
What’s more, we’re told Swift did NOT host any kind of party at her home afterward. In fact, Gossip Cop’s rock-solid source says Swift arrived home alone. So not only did the singer NOT close out her night by making fun of Cyrus at a private gathering, but there WAS NO private gathering at all. We know it’s hard to believe, but RadarOnline got this one completely WRONG.
