The co-host took a few minutes at the end of Friday's final show of the season to say goodbye and share some parting thoughts.

Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace's final episode as View co-hosts aired Friday on ABC.

While Wallace said her goodbyes during the Aug. 6 final live show and Perez bid the show a tearful farewell the day after news broke that she would be leaving, Perez took a few minutes at the end of Friday's pre-taped episode, the last new show of The View's 18th season to share some parting thoughts.

She said it "was a tough decision" to leave the show because of her colleagues and the fans and added that people shouldn't be sad she's leaving.

"I am so excited about my decision and what's to come from me, but what I am going to miss are these ladies," Perez said. "It's been a great ride…It's been wonderful."

She went on to thank The View and tell Wallace and co-host Whoopi Goldberg, who's set to return in September for The View's 19th season, that she'd miss them both.

To new co-hosts Raven-Symone and Michelle Collins, added over the summer, Perez said, "Good luck and have a blast."

And she urged everyone to "always be kind to each other because that's what it's all about."

As the credits rolled, Wallace, who's also leaving The View after just one season, stepped back to applaud Perez and the two departing panelists shared a hug.

The rest of the episode played out like any other show, with a hot topics segment at the beginning followed by guest interviews.
