‘Pirates’ & ‘Jungle Book’ At D23 – ARTICLE

So many movies! The D23 Expo was an onslaught of movie wonderfulness on Saturday as Disney unveiled even more about their upcoming films!

In addition to major "Star Wars" and "Captain America: Winter Soldier" announcements, a slew of high profile projects shared the spotlight on Saturday at the fan-filled event in Anaheim, Calif., -- here's more of Access' favorite movie news:

Jack Is Back: Johnny Depp made his second D23 appearance in two days, this time in full Captain Jack Sparrow costume. The actor was on hand to promote "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales," but Jack had other plans, like throwing grapes into the crowd! "Where are we?" he wondered aloud on stage. After being told he was at Disneyland, he muttered, "Never heard of it. Anaheim?" If the actor's D23 appearance is any indication about what we can expect from the fifth "Pirates" movie (out March 17, 2017), count us in, matey!

New King Of The Jungle: In possibly the most surprising fan reaction moment of the day, the trailer for "The Jungle Book" had the crowd standing on their feet and cheering. Ben Kingsley, Lupita Nyong’o, newcomer Neel Sethi and director Jon Favreau were on hand for the movie that opens on April 15, 2016. And, Bill Murray as Baloo singing "Bear Necessities," which was played over the speakers, was pure movie magic.

Adorable Or Deadly Dragon?: Bryce Dallas Howard showed off the first clip from the upcoming live action "Pete's Dragon," which also stars Robert Redford. The curious part of the trailer was the color-changing furry dragon that we only got a glimpse of! Dragons have fur? The family-friendly film is out on August 12, 2016.

Marvel Gets Mystic: With the epic "Civil War" trailer, we almost forgot that we were treated to the first art and concept images from the upcoming "Doctor Strange," starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Marvel going mystical and magical looks to be a massive undertaking with a (dare we say) "Inception"-ish vibe. "Doctor Strange" is due on November 4, 2016.
