Nicki Minaj Calls Out “Bitch” Miley Cyrus at 2015 VMAs After Diss: Video, GIF!

Afterparty buddies!? Not so much. Nicki Minaj isn’t afraid to blast her haters - even on live television. The rapper called out host Miley Cyrus on stage at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards in L.A. on Sunday, Aug. 30.

Minaj, 32, took the swipe while accepting the award for Best Hip Hop music video for her hit “Anaconda.” She thanked her “beautiful” fans and her pastor(!), before telling Cyrus off for talking about her in a recent New York Times interview.

“And now back to this bitch that had a lot to say about me in the press. Miley, what’s good?” Minaj snarled. She mouthed: “Don’t play with me, bitch!” (She also ignored Taylor Swift and her BFF squad while walking to the stage beforehand.)

A source tells Us Weekly that Minaj was being serious and she’s “legitimately” mad at Cyrus.

Cyrus responded to the unexpected comment like a pro. “Hey, we are all in this industry and we all do interviews and say s--t,” the VMAs host, 22, said across the stage. “Nicki, congratuf-klations.”

The “Wrecking Ball” singer - whose family was in the crowd - then turned to the audience, twirled her hair, and moved on to the next subject.

Minaj’s dig wasn’t unwarranted. Earlier this week, Cyrus called out the “Super Bass” entertainer for getting into a Twitter feud with Swift about the Video of the Year category. Last month, Minaj took issue with being excluded from the Video of the Year category. "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year. I'm not always confident. Just tired. Black women influence pop culture so much but are rarely rewarded for it,” she tweeted. Swift mistakenly thought the comment was about her nomination for “Bad Blood.”

“I don’t respect your statement because of the anger that came with it," Cyrus told the New York Times of Minaj’s comments. “You made it about you. Not to sound like a bitch, but that’s like, ‘Eh, I didn’t get my VMA.’”

Minaj and Swift, meanwhile, have since made up. They even shocked fans with a surprise performance on the VMAs stage Sunday night.
