David Sullivan will play the best friend of Arnett's character in 'Flaked.'
Will Arnett's Netflix comedy is adding to its cast.
David Sullivan (New Girl) has joined Flaked as a series regular, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Set in the insular world of Venice, Calif., Flaked follows the seriocomic story of a self-appointed "guru," Chip (Arnett), who falls for the object of his best friend's fascination. Soon the tangled web of half-truths and semi-bullshit that underpins his all-important image and sobriety begins to unravel.
Sullivan will play Chip's best friend, Dennis, a man used to playing second fiddle to his uber-popular pal. A "sober sommelier," Dennis is six years sober but still creates wine lists for restaurants.
Flaked's eight-episode first season will bow exclusively across all Netflix territories in 2016.
Arnett co-created the series with Mark Chappell (The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret). The duo will write and exec produce the series, which is produced by Electus and Principato-Young. Electus founder Ben Silverman, manager-producer Peter Principato and Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz also will executive produce.
Sullivan's credits also include Argo and NCIS: LA. He will next be seen in the Jessica Alba horror film The Veil and ABC's anthology drama Wicked City. He is repped by Principato-Young Entertainment and Ginsburg Daniels.
