Miley Cyrus and Caitlyn Jenner have found supporters in each other.
As Gossip Cop reported earlier, Cyrus discusses her own body dysmorphia in her Marie Claire cover story, but the pop star also opens up about her friendship with Jenner. “We’ve talked a lot about how you can never make every single person happy,” Cyrus reveals, addressing an issue they’ve both experienced in recent months.
She notes, “We always laugh about people saying she transitioned to be famous. Which is crazy. Caitlyn has to tell her story, because if she doesn’t, everyone else is going to tell it for her.” While the magazine didn’t get Jenner’s take on Cyrus, it’s likely the appreciation is mutual.
And, as Gossip Cop previously reported, Cyrus showed support for Jenner at the amfAR Inspiration Gala in June, where the singer was an honoree. At the event, in addition to a poignant speech about acceptance, Cyrus also auctioned off art she created with Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover. Called the “Caitlyn Collection,” the pieces were framed and signed magazine covers that were adorned with jewels and other accessories.
They ended up bringing in $69,000. Check out the art below. What do you think of Cyrus revealing her close friendship with Jenner in Marie Claire?
