Mariah Carey is NOT pregnant with James Packer’s baby, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can correct the story that was naturally picked up by a slew of outlets that didn’t bother to fact-check the original story. Gossip Cop is told the claim is “100 percent false.”
The story began with the Australian tabloid New Idea, which should change its name to “no idea,” because it quoted a so-called source as saying that Carey and her billionaire boyfriend “found out the baby news recently and they’re overjoyed at the prospect of being parents.” The supposed “source” added, “She adores James and it’s well-known within her social circle that she would love to have children with him.”
That’s nice, but Carey is NOT pregnant, despite the Daily Mail regurgitating the false report or HollywoodLife writing that the singer’s “4-year-old twins Roc and Roe may no longer be the babies in the family!” A source close to Carey tells Gossip Cop the singer is NOT pregnant, and that all the reports saying she is are “100 percent false.”
As Gossip Cop has previously reported, Carey and Packer began dating this past June. Their relationship was made public when the couple was spotted holding hands while on vacation together in Capri. The two were set up by director Brett Ratner, Packer’s business partner, and a longtime friend and collaborator of Carey.
